Jack El Calvo modifiant le message de départ...
Nouveau CD avec comme titres déjà en "circulation" :

"La gallina"
"Yo naci como un talento"

Je lance ce petit sujet sur un groupe qui me fait particulièrement vibrer en ce moment : BAKULEYE (je ne crois pas avoir vu de sujet leur étant dédié, si c'est déjà fait, désolée).

Un des morceaux du moment pour moi (depuis un bon moment) c'est "La gallina", une tuerie pour moi ce morceau, avec ses changements de rytmes, ses breaks, ses choeurs...bref une bombe pour moi!

Le groupe a apparemment connu quelques changements (ceux qui connaissent l'ancienne composition du groupe en parleront mieux que moi) mais qui semblent particulièrement bien fonctionner!!!
Bakuleye sur le point d'exploser? Affaires à suivre de très près...

Je ne savais pas que ce groupe existait encore. Je les mettais dans les oubliés de la timba
Je découvre les derniers moceaux et c'est pas mal du tout.

Ils ont sorti 2 albums, je crois
mais c'est surtout l'album "Timbanton" qui est excellent

Pfff, effectivement "La galina" vaut la peine d etre ecouté, question breaks on est servit!!!
Avec un petit passage reggaeton plutot sympa, bref, un bon trip!
"Yolanda" ainsi que "Naci con un talento" sont du même registre, de la pure Timba.
Perso je ne connaissais pas, enfin je me comprend...

Effectivement, leur album "Timbanton" est génial....le titre "Que culpa tengo yo"....vaut le détour

Et album en production oui oui sortie prévue bientôt mais je n'en sais pas plus... Un Chauve à platines est demandé svp...

J'avais déjà évoqué, avec Jack, ce groupe qui est dans la même lignée que Son Candela, dans la rubrique "Les oubliés de la Timba". C'est l'un des groupes le plus injustement oublés.

Je n'ai même pas pu avoir leur album 'Timbanton' (merci Raymondo, je me précipite pour le commander), ni 'Fiebre Del Ula Ula', et pourtant j'en suis dingue. Chaque morceau déchiiiiiiire.

Moi j'ai découvert ce groupe par notre Axel cubadicto. il nous a servi le titre
la habana en guanabacoa à la dernière Noche cubana: c'était du lourd

Oui moi aussi j'ai découvert le groupe en général, grâce à Axelito et j'ai découvert et craqué sur "la gallina" grâce à mon crâne d'oeuf préféré qui nous déniche toujours des nouveautés atomiques en soirée.
A chaque fois que j'entendais "la gallina" quand Jack a commencé à nous la passer j'allais le voir systématiquement en disant "purée c'est de la bombe, c'est quoi ça Jack?"...la réponse était toujours la même bien sûr...(bon j'ai une mémoire de poisson rouge mais au moins je reste cohérente c'est déjà ça!)

D'ailleurs vous pouvez retrouver "la gallina", "yolanda", "naci con un talento", "la habana guanabacoa" de Bakuleye en écoute sur ce site http://www.reverbnation.com/rumbanegra, entre autres tueries d'autres groupes qu'on kiffe tous (la liste est trop longue), que vous pourrez écouter sur ce même site

Pourtant Ma Titi quand tu n'étais pas encore entièrement "formée", tu en entendais et notamment des extraits de l'album cité ci-dessus... C'était l'époque de la Casa 128 et du Montecristo...

Attention...j'ai la sensation depuis 3 morceaux que il y a eu aussi un transfert de puissance de chez Maikel Blanco vers Bakuleye... Rho la vache... Retenez ce nom car après deux CD's , le prochain promet...

BAKULEYE est un groupe à classer non loin de SON CANDELA... pour ses qualités ignorées et pour son efficacité indubitable !!!

Vivement la sortie de ce 3eme OVNI !!

In Yoruba culture, Bakuleye is a magic wand that awakens a deity living under the Earth. As the band's creator and leader, Pedro Pablo Vargas says, "Bakuleye is the awakening of new ideas."

Perez Vargas was born in Santiago de Cuba on June 29, 1962, and is a descendent of the famous Cuban master Miguel Matamoros. His father, guitarist and composer Fernando Perez Griñan, along with his grandfather, Pastor Vargas Matamoros, were founders of the trova Santiaguera. During his youth, Pedro Pablo had many musical influences, such as the nueva trova, merengue, son montuno and guaracha. He was familiar with some of the best Cuban bands and their leaders, including NG La Banda and Jose Luis Cortes, Oriente Lopez and Afrocuba, and Juan Formell and Los Van Van.

In his first musical stints, Pedro Pablo worked as a sound engineer for the Raul Gomez and Mayra Caridad Valdez orchestras. Later, without leaving his work as an engineer, Miriam Bayard and Habanason offered him the opportunity to dance in their show, and Hector Treyes asked him to play percussion in his group. He toured with these groups to Peru, English Guyana, Central America, Mexico, Spain, and France.

Pedro Pablo has a special virtue, a sort of "hidden talent" as a composer of his own songs. Two of his songs have been recorded by other groups: "La Mala Hierba" by Tamayoy Tu Salsa AM and "El Panadero" by the French band Sabroson. When he was visiting Toulouse, a distinguished Frenchman heard his songs, and he was so impressed that he wondered why Pedro didn't have his own band to play his own music. When Pedro Pablo returned to Cuba, he was very excited with the idea of creating a band and he began to look for the key members. His dream came true when he found the fabulous pianist and arranger Ignacio Herrera, known as "Nachito." The newly formed group, Bakuleye was born in Havana at the Circulo Social Camilo Cienfuegos, on December 4, 1996, when they shared the stage with David Calzado and his Charanga Habanera.

Since then, in their short professional career, Bakuleye has performed in the most important dance halls of Cuba. Bakuleye has also shared the stage with such prestigious bands as Jose Luis Cortes and NG La Banda, Paulo F.G. and Bamboleo. As one of the most promising groups from Cuba, Bakuleye has received favorable press and television coverage. The Cuban music magazine Tropicana International has mentioned Bakuleye as one of the most successful groups. Bakuleye's participation in such programs as Rompiendo La Rutina and Mi Salsa has helped significantly in the promotion of their image and of their song Hazme Sentir.

The music of Bakuleye is a fusion of different musical rhythms such as Latin Jazz, boleros, ballads, bachata, and especially salsa. All these styles make this group an original and unique band. Bakuleye really is a dream come true and an "awakening of new ideas." Bakuleye's CD, Fiebre Del Ula Ula, was been released by Ahi-Nama.

Ah ouais mais à cette époque j'étais encore plus inculte que maintenant! Donc finalement je connaissais Bakuleye...bien avant de les connaitre (ça c'est une phrase à la Timbera! aie! ) grâce au crâne d'oeuf!
